Today I had to have a cat put to sleep. He was a drop off at my grandma’s and we had had him for quite a few years. He was irritating, stubborn, icky, and so full of personality that you couldn’t help but like him in spite of it all. He was also very old and FIV positive.
Yesterday he showed signs that it was time and today I made the appointment. At a little after 3:00, he died. I am very sad.

From a technical standpoint, this is probably not the best photo. But it is strange looking and I like it. I have made a note in my photography idea notebook to try more motion at dusk, but use a tripod. Perhaps this weekend.
I’ve been continuing to take care of the kitty, spending lots of time at my grandma’s. Updates, when I have them, are in my journal. Some days there is only the twitter digest.
This week I did thirteen things next to me on the kitchen table.

I’ve been writing steadily, just haven’t been noting it in site news. I’ve been caring for a kitty with a head injury. These links should help you get caught up.
The day I got him from Mary and took him to the vet for the first time.
I was scared to call my grandma for the update.
Still seizing so I took him to the emergency vet who gave me limited options.
Trip to my usual vet’s office with a different vet who I like a lot.
Kitty shows continued improvement.
I really love this one. This is one of many I put up today on my flickr. I’m finally into 2007’s pictures! Wee! I also have several updates to my journal. Go read and go look at pictures!
